FASTPASS+
Q.
What is Disney FastPass+ service and how does it work?
A.
Disney FastPass+ service allows you to reserve access to select Walt Disney World theme park attractions, entertainment and Character Greetings in advance. There is no cost to use FastPass+ service―it is included at no extra charge with your theme park admission.

To access FastPass+ service before you arrive, you must have:

  • Ticket or annual pass – make selections up to 30 days in advance
  • Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation – start making selections as early as 60 days―plus the number of days of your stay―prior to your check-in date

Once you’ve registered online and linked your park admission, you can select from a list of experiences and times for your designated party. At the park, check in at FastPass+ entrances during the indicated time, with little or no wait. FastPass+ selections may also be made same-day at a FastPass+ kiosk in the theme park, depending on availability.

For a single theme park per day, you can make up to 3 FastPass+ selections. To change or cancel your selections, go online or use the mobile app to return to the FastPass+ page. You can also get assistance from the Lobby Concierge at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or at a FastPass+ kiosk in any of the parks. Note that kiosks allow FastPass+ selections and updates only for the park where the kiosk is located.

Once you redeem your initial set of FastPass+ selections (or the last arrival window has passed), you can make another FastPass+ selection for the same day at an in-park kiosk, up to park closing. After you redeem the additional FastPass+ pick, you can return to a kiosk to make more selections (one at a time).
If your ticket includes a Park Hopper Option, after you use your initial FastPass+ selections at one park, you’ll be able to make additional FastPass+ selections at a kiosk (one at a time) at the second park you visit that day, up to park closing.
For a greater range of choices, we recommend you make FastPass+ selections early. If you prefer to be spontaneous, all attractions and Character Greetings provide standby entrances so you can decide as you go.

Valid theme park admission required. FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available arrival windows are limited. Certain MyMagic+ features and benefits require online registration.

Q.
How many FastPass+ selections can I make for each day of my vacation?
A.
You can make up to 3 FastPass+ selections, depending on availability, for a single park per day. With a theme park ticket, you can choose a set of FastPass+ experiences up to 30 days before the day of use for each day of admission. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can start making your FastPass+ selections as early as 60 days―plus the number of days of your stay―prior to your check-in date.

Q.
Is FastPass+ service like a restaurant reservation? Do I have to show up at a specific time for an attraction?
A.

No—it’s better! For extra convenience, you are assigned an arrival window—usually one hour long—for each attraction you select. Show up any time that you wish during this window. Don’t worry about rushing to finish up a meal or getting delayed at another show or attraction.

When it is within your designated arrival window time and you are ready to visit an attraction, all you need to do is proceed to the attraction, go to the FastPass+ entrance and touch your MagicBand or card to the touch point.

While attractions usually offer a one-hour arrival window, other experiences like shows and parades may require you to arrive during a more specific timeframe.
Valid theme park admission is required.

MAGICBANDS:

Q.
How do I use my MagicBand or card when I have a FastPass+ arrival time at an attraction or entertainment experience?
A.

It’s so easy that you’ll think it’s magic!
When you arrive during your scheduled FastPass+ arrival time, all you need to do is proceed to the FASTPASS queue entrance and touch your MagicBand or card to a sensor called a touch point.

Redemption Information: CLAIM YOUR TICKET: Upon check-in at your Walt Disney World® Resort Hotel, you will receive your MagicBand/s if you did not already receive them at home by pre-registering your vacation at http://www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com. Front Desk Cast Members can provide a RF-enabled Key to the World card instead of a MagicBand if requested. Your pre-purchased theme park tickets will be coded to your MagicBands or Key to the World card which can act as your hotel room key, theme park ticket and charge card valid all over Walt Disney World® Resort. Your MagicBand or Key to the World Card will include “touch to enter” resort room, “touch to enter” Theme Parks and Water Parks (with valid, purchased Theme Park admission), “touch to pay” (optional), “touch to redeem” FastPass+ selections and “touch to associate” photos features.

That’s it!

Please remember that each member of your party will have to individually touch their MagicBand or card to the touch point, so everyone should be sure to have their MagicBand or card available.

EXTRA MAGIC HOUR, a program that allows you to visit a particular theme park or water park on a designated day beyond regularly scheduled operating hours, is offered ONLY to guests staying at:

Walt Disney World-owned resorts
— Walt Disney World Dolphin & Swan Resorts
— Hilton Resort at Downtown Disney
— Shades of Green

Morning Extra Magic Hour occurs one hour prior to regularly scheduled park opening. That means if the park is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. to the general public, the Extra Magic Hour begins at 8 a.m. Transportation for the park offering Morning Extra Magic Hour will begin 30 minutes earlier than the opening time.

NOTE: You MUST use your Magic Band or the RFID card with your ticket at the park’s turnstiles.

Evening Extra Magic Hours typically extend two hours beyond a park’s scheduled closing time. You’ll need to present a valid Resort ID at each attraction during the Extra Magic Hours period.

NOTE: There has been some confusion regarding the Magic Your Way tickets and Extra Magic Hour. If your Magic Your Way ticket DOES NOT have the Park Hopper option, you will NOT be able to visit more than one park per day. This means that if you want to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour, you must be sure to visit the park offering it that day or evening.
Example: You visit Magic Kingdom in the morning. Epcot is the Evening Extra Magic Hour park of the day. You MAY NOT go to Epcot that evening if your Magic Your Way ticket does not have the Park Hopper option.

TRANSPORTATION NOTE:
The Monorail is currently operating on a fixed schedule not dependent on park hours. The Magic Kingdom Resort beam runs from 8:30 a.m. to midnight; the Magic Kingdom Express beam runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; and the Epcot beam runs from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Extra buses and watercraft will run during the Monorail’s downtimes to provide additional transportation options.
